Mellotrip evolved in the mid 90s after the release of the first cd recording titled Mellotrip. Mellotrip is the identity of the music produced by musician songwriter Warren Austin. Recordings are primarily produced by him under the pseudonymous names 3760, Warren Peace and others (list the names). All recordings, both past and present, are recorded in the southern part of the city of Pittsburgh. For the most part, Mellotrip describes the sound and atmosphere of the recordings, as the music falls into a variety of categories. With a focus on transmit honest lyrics about life in general, Mellotrip is an alternative to a lot of today's music. The goal is to keep the sound original, as the foundation is based in the tradition of previous artist from the vinyl cassette era, while maintaining a unique sound as well.
