Aithra a german Chillout-Project. As a child, Lia Born-Maijer loved music. At the age of 7, she began playing the flute and piano. She was also a member of the choir and took vocal lessons for many years. Flash forward a few years later and Lia began playing keyboards and singing backup with pop-rock band, The Uncommons, where she met Mick Maijer, her future producer and collaborator. After the demise of The Uncommons, Mick and Lia worked together as Aithra, an ambient trip hop project to focus on the beauty of Lia's vocals, together with chill flavoured compositions. Touched by the music of Enigma, Schiller and Enya, Aithra was born.
