Alamein

Alamein is the name of an electronica project by Simon J. Hunter. The sound is described as a trip-hop - akin to Massive Attack - with focus on polished dark ambient moody songs with orchestral quality. Although electronic, the sound is definitely analogue, with "off-pitch" pianoes, beautiful sweeping guitars and raw bass-lines painting the perfect picture of a gloomy, grey, rainy day. The composer himself has described the album Rhetorical Question EP as "...the soundtrack for your worst day. When nothing went right, when you hated your boss, when you were feeling alone and isolated..." Simon J. Hunter is originally from Melbourne, Australia, and has attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Currently located in Los Angeles, Simon has built a name for himself in the in the movie and tv-industry and has been featured in CSI, CSI:NY and CSI:Miami and various movie trailers.
