Alaric was formed in 2008 out of a mutual love for the dark sounds of early Death Rock, Post-punk and Anarcho-punk as well as the Doom metal and Hardcore Punk coming out of Oakland and elsewhere. Jason plays drums. He was formerly in the UK Subs and Drain The Sky. Jason was also in The Enemies with Rick, Alaric's bass player. On guitar is Russ, also known as Mr. Hate on KPFA's long-running experimental music radio show No Other Radio Network. He played guitar in Noothgrush. And on vocals is Shane, formerly of Dead And Gone. Alaric has recorded a two song demo with Skot B. (Black Ice and Phantom Limbs). They released a 7" in late 2010.
