All the Day Holiday, from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed from the dust of an experimental hardcore/punk band. Two original members (Daniel Simmons and Mark Ventura) from the band, accompanied by two replacement members (David Roller and Nathan Frisch) slowly morphed into All the Day Holiday (in early 2006). Life has more meaning than just waking up in the morning, and sleeping at night. All the Day Holiday seeks relationships, and a deeper knowledge of what life is about. On August 4, 2009 "The Things We've Grown to Love" was released on Linc Star Records (Warner Brothers), and paved a small stepping stone for the band. With their first full length under their belt, Rolling Stone named them 1 of 6 bands to keep a close eye on. The album received a majority of good reviews, and pushed All the Day Holiday into the busy commotion of bands needed to see. One week before Christmas 2009, All the Day Holiday released a cover of "Christmas Time is Here" which shown light on the growth the band has made since the release of their first full length record. With a step in the direction of soul, shoegaze, and rock and roll at the roots, this is a band worth a corner on your iPod.
