1) Techdance alias of Hagane Shizuka. 2) Ralph Barendse released his first dance record in 1999 as ‘Alpha Breed’. In 2001 a new track was noticed by DJ Tiësto and got signed and released as ‘Ralphie B – Massive’ on In Trance We Trust (Black Hole Recordings). The trance record became a huge success and is still considered a classic after all these years. After the great response to ‘Massive’, many Ralphie B. remixes followed and in 2002 a new project was released: ‘Midway - Monkey Forest’ on In Trance We Trust. It turned out to be an instant massive success. Ralphie focussed on this new Midway guise in 2003, which resulted in several new tracks and remixes, including ‘Midway – Inca’ (which also featured on Tiesto's compilation ‘Nyana’) and ‘Midway – Amazon’ in 2004. In 2005, Sander van Dien and Ralphie decided to work together on a track.Their first co-production was called ‘First State - First State’ and was released on In Trance We Trust. It became a big hit and got played exclusively by Tiësto for a long time before the rest of the big DJs followed. Because of the success of this new project and the huge click between both of them, Ralphie and Sander decided to bundle their powers, merging the studio together in Dordrecht, The Netherlands and form a duo. In June 2006, Black Hole Recordings signed their album with huge club hits with Falling and Your Own Way. In 2008 First State remixed tracks of Tiesto, Armin and 4-Strings and had many DJ performances all over the world: Indonesia, Siberia, South Africa, Korea,Ibiza and 7 times as support act for Tiesto's European ISOS Tour. After using his x-factor for a few years in First State, in May 2009 Ralph decided to leave First State and focus on his own solo career again and go "His Own Way". First solo gigs followed in Indonesia.Begin of 2010 "Equator" was released,a Midway album with all compilations of Midway tracks which includes the new single "What If" which was immediately selected as Tune of the Week and Future Favourite by Armin Van Buuren radio show listeners in ASOT. In June 2010 also brings us new remixes of Ralphie B - Massive and a remix for Beat Service - Cut and Run. Meanwhile a new single is being produced by the man who all along never did forgot his roots and magic and has trance music running through his veins...Whats next?! Read more on Last.fm.
