There are multiple artists with this name: 1) A Norwegian 70's progressive rock band. Aunt Mary is one of the early and by many considered to be one of Norway's definitely best prog bands. Their music is a mix of heavy hard-rocking tunes, combined with clear influences from the symphonic genre. The more symphonic sound however didn't appeared until their third, and last studio album, "Janus". A great concept-album to start with. High-skilled musicians combined with good, creative melodies makes Aunt Mary an important Norwegian band to become acquainted with. Started with more hardcore style, but in their legendary 7" done in '90, Aunt Mary managed to put all 600 songs into one 45rpm 7"! Intense and original sound.
