Brains Brains Brains formed in the spring of 2005 by members Tony Johnson and Mitch Laud. Later asking Vincent Stoneking to play bass, the band was hitting the show circuit in August. Exhibiting a raw, violent, energetic, and even at times comedic stage presence, Brains Brains Brains successfully carved out their place in the Quad City punk rock scene. Beginning their first of 4 attempts to record and release their freshman effort, When the Clock Strikes 13 in the winter of 2005 and finishing the self produced recording in the spring of 06, The band, unhappy with the quality, never released it. Brains Brains Brains parted ways in the late summer of 06 in what the trio now refers to as a "4 year long hiatus." During that time Tony, Mitch, and Vinny all continued in various other music projects such as: The Afterdarks, Brickface, and Give Me Death. Refining their musicianship and drive, Brains Brains Brains reunited in December of 2009 for the sole purpose of releasing When the Clock Strikes 13. Entering their own studio and began recording, also deciding to rework the entire layout of the album. Cutting 3 lesser songs adding 3 never before heard, one of which was written in studio. At that point, the sense of camaraderie and synergy with the 3 friends had set in, and the long separated band mates decided to reform in January 2010. Wasting no time, the 3 set to work, to finish and release When the Clock Strikes 13 and perform their old material, as well as an arsenal of new songs! Finally, finishing the album in the spring of 2011, and releasing it on April 16th, Brains Brains Brains had accomplished one of the things they had wanted most as a band, and shown anyone, who might say otherwise, they are more than capable. Brains Brains Brains- nightmarish, smart, and in your face. Relentlessly maintaining a willing suspension of disbelief. The Band seeks the frightening dark places in your imagination and reigniting what really, truly scares you. Read more on Last.fm.
