Brett Rosenberg

Brett Rosenberg an award winning Australian film composer. He has an eclectic, yet always melodic style, and is influenced by the best of the past melded with a wide variety of current influences. Brett was born into a musical family. His father Ron is somewhat of a local legend as a piano player and arranger, having played for Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Nat ‘King’ Cole. Brett has always had a strong interest in composing for film, initially studying privately under the late Brian May (Mad Max), and later completing film scoring classes at UCLA. His first scoring assignment was in 1996, and since then has worked in all areas of composition for the moving image, from fun filled music for children’s television, to documentary, short film, advertising, and feature film. His scores cover a large range of styles including retro 60’s flavored R’n’B, to large orchestral, gypsy jazz and ambient. Half Light’s score moves from sweeping emotion-filled themes to edgy atonal textures. Recorded at Air Studios in London with an 80 piece orchestra, the score has been highly acclaimed by filmgoers worldwide (and Brett’s parents).
