Cane And Able were an 8-piece band from France. This funky band crosses multiple genres meshing elements of soul, funk, blues, and psych all into one heavy, rhythmic machine. There isn’t much to be said about these French funkmeisters, because there is not much to be found about them. In some ways this is good, because the music they left behind speaks for them very clearly. The music shifts between psych rock flavours, trippy guitar arrangements, hot brass arrangements and strong funky grooves. An absolutely killer funk album full of wah-wah and fuzzed guitars, deep soul vocals, hot basselines, wild afro percussion, and a really spaced out production. Read more on Last.fm.
