Dakota Star was formed in 2002 when A&R man, Antonio Ito, of Tearbridge Productions introduced Alan to Tasuku in Tokyo, they decided to try writing a few songs together, took a trip to the sea side and came back with several songs. Chiaki had been doing sessions with Tasuku for a while so it only seemed natural to ask Chiaki to sing on the tracks. Several months later they had a whole album recorded, during which time Antonio had developed the animation, they decided on 2 songs to set to the animation and came up with T-13 and Together Alone. The name Dakota Star came from Chiaki. She lived in South Dakota during her school years where she studied English, it only seemed fitting! Alan is from Canada and Tasuku is from western Japan. The band went their separate ways in 2007. Personnel: Alan Brey (bass, guitar) Chiaki (vocal) Tasuku (guitar) Read more on Last.fm.
