DAMIAN DAME Consisted of members Deah Dame (Debra Jean Hurd) and Damian (Bruce Edward Broadus). They were the first act on the Laface/Arista record label in 1991. They were famous for hits such as "Exclusivity", "Right Down To It" and Gotta Learn My Rhythym". Deah Dame was the lyricist and Damian wrote the music. Deah originally was going to be a solo act but after Damian heard her voice on a demo tape from another musician he was determined to sing with her. She was blessed with a limitless vocal range. Only a year after they met in Los Angeles, they hooked up with Laface records, and then moved to Geogia, formed the duo Damian Dame and put out their self titled album. Before there might have been a second album Deah's life was taken away by a fatal automobile collision on June 27, 1994, She was 35 years old. In 1995 Damian moved on and put out a solo album called "Damian 199sex", which is on "Chip Records and H & H Productions. Unfortunately, Damian passed away on June 27, 1996 of colon cancer, only days after his solo album was released. Strangely enough, this is the same day that Deah passed away, two years apart.
