Day Without Dawn (ex-The Postman Syndrome) made one EP and one critically acclaimed album. After a lineup change they became Biclops. Members currently perform in East of the Wall Despite skepticism to the possibility, Day Without Dawn's music satisfies those searching for substance in their music without sacrificing the goal of penning songs that are infectiously memorable and powerful. It sails between art-rock and the purest songcraft, and it delivers on both shores. The band believes that these two ends of the spectrum can finally be united by simply refusing to pander to either side, and instead embracing the strengths of both. Imagine a luncheon wherein Neurosis, Radiohead, Mogwai, Opeth, and Engine Down all collide head-on, diving for the last slice of pie. Rechristened from the embers of The Postman Syndrome (the critically-acclaimed New Jersey quintet in which all four members previously resided), Day Without Dawn built upon the genre-defying foundations of its earlier incarnation and refined it with a stronger focus on mood and emotional impact. Continuing in that vein is Day Without Dawn's next incarnation, Biclops. Don't expect a particular sound, a quantifiable style. This is music created by four individuals who love music as a whole, yet Day Without Dawn use the breadth and scope of their songs only as means to an end. You may be struck by the distance you've traveled, but it's more likely that you'll simply be moved, with moments that refuse to depart from your memory.
