Post-Punk/New Wave band from Torino (Italy). The name of the band comes from De Stijl: a dutch artistic movement that was born in Holland in 1917. The band is famous to have split a compilation with the important label/fanzine VM produzioni in 1986. The sound of the band shows a pure post-punk style with a goth scent. The influences come from the british dark-wave, in particular: The Cure, Siouxsie and The Banshees and Bauhaus. The style to sing reminds the italian band Diaframma. Members: Marcello Carlone (Voice, Guitar and Keyboards) Piervi Gagliardotto (Bass) Franco Barale (Drums) Claudio Vernetti (Keyboards) Discography: 1984, 'Destijl' (self-produced demo tape) 1986, ‘VM Cinque’ (Lp, Produzioni VM/fanzine) Tracklist: A1) Il vaso di Pandora A2) La sfinge A3) Taiga A4) Assab Read more on Last.fm.
