In mid 2008, singer/songwriter Aaron Fisher teamed up with local producer/recording engineer Drew LeClair. Mainly to work on songs that Fisher had wrote that were intended for a solo album after his departure from his previous band. Both decided to take on a partnership. Possibly make a record; make a few bucks and have some fun. It didn't take long to realize that what they were doing was a little more serious than garage demos. The two agreed to take the project on as a more serious endeavor. Soon after the first few tracks were laid and the official myspace page was up; LeClairs' house on D Avenue where it all started, was back up for rent and the boys were looking for a place to write and record.....on the cheap. It was also around this time that they had realized a band was going to be necessary to further their plan, and that they couldn't be studio slaves to really progress further (at least not at the appropriate level). LeClair would be the guitar, Fisher was the guitar and voice; all that was left to accomplish was a reliable rhythm section. After a lot of consideration and brainstorming, Fisher called up fellow local guitarist and music veteran Will Dye (Bitter Pill/Pain in Life) for a possible recruit. As fate would have it, Dye was totally attracted to the Dearanna (at the time they called their project: Radioslut) sound. Dye was into it so much that it wasn't long before Fisher and LeClair would set-up shop in Dye's trailer behind his house and were back to cranking out material....constantly, sometimes even 48 hours straight. Fisher, LeClair and Dye all worked together to transform the 12x60 2 bedroom mobile home into a great studio. Rigid fiberglass panels, egg crate foam and tons of old blankets would give them everything they needed to write and produce their best work to date. What started out as a couple of quick myspace demos has grown into at least two full-length albums worth of material (and progressing daily), a constant drive for attention and betterment, a relentless hunger to be noticed and adored, and a complete line-up now including bassist Travis Hutto (Bitter Pill/Isabelle's Gift) and Aaron Moses (Sent By Ravens). Currently, Dearanna remains writing material while rehearsing for tour and shopping to producers and labels. WE ARE DEARANNA. WE ARE DRIVEN.... Read more on Last.fm.
