Comfortable in both the indie rock and Orange County punk communities, Death on Wednesday added a dose of dark introspection to their brand of SoCal punk-pop. Composed of guitarist/vocalist Nate Lawler, guitarist Jeff Saenz, bassist Kevin Smith, and drummer Jorma Vik, the group was originally dubbed the Redliners, and developed a strong local following in the Orange County area. After a name change, Death on Wednesday signed with the SideCho label and recorded their debut album. Produced by Trever Keith of Face to Face, Buying the Lie was released in the fall of 2000. Three years later, the band released Songs To __ To. Matt Rainwater had also replaced Vik on drums by this time. Courtesy of ask.com Read more on Last.fm.
