Dykes "Magic City" Trio were a square-dance band active during the 1920s. John Dykes played the fiddle, Hubert Mahaffey played the guitar and Myrtle Vermillion played the autoharp. The trio came from the Virginia region and recorded two sessions in the 1920's, thanks to Dock Boggs, who introduced them to the record company. Although they found some success, they did not record again. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
