The female fronted rock band is quickly becoming one of Denmark's most buzzed about upcoming bands, as the combination of pumping guitars, electronic elements and catchy tunes appeals to the inner rocker in everyone. Fronted by charismatic singer Maja Schønning, the band demands everyone’s attention and with their convincing sound, they are more than ready to cross the borders and mesmerize the rest of the world. The musical concept was conceived, when Mikkel Haastrup discovered his lead singer during a gig with her former band. It didn’t take long for the excited, young singer to join him, and in late 2009 the band was formed, and together they began developing the music. The group has taken on the recording process entirely by themselves, and Haastrup, being trained as a sound technician, makes it possible for the band to be completely in charge of their own unique sound. In 2011 the duo was joined by fierce drummer Chad T. Charlton, who is not only contributing to the band’s dynamic live experience, but has also brought life to the latest recorded tracks. Later in the year, the band caught the attention of rocker Anders Bo (Medina, Celina Ree), who joined the band in the studio, adding a breath of fresh air with his defined sounds, recording guitars on several tracks. Recently the band got a hold of experienced guitarist Carsten Christensen, completing the band’s lineup. The group has already tried out most of their upcoming debut album live, and with even more concerts coming up, they are more than ready to rock the stage to the ground, and give the fans a highly energetic and fully professional performance. In the early summer of 2012, Forever Still is heading into the studio to record their first official EP with legendary producer Flemming Rasmussen (e.g. Metallica, Mew). Read more on Last.fm.
