Czech band from Brno city, during 80s become legendary for big part of this generation. Lead singer, composer, keyboardist Roman Dragoun met for the first time guitarist Miloš Morávek at amateur band "Regenerace". Several years later they met again at "Progres II". At 1983 both agreed they were no longer satisfied with Pink Floyd-oriented sound and set-up their own band "Futurum" together with a drummer Jan Seidl - Dragoun's friend from childhood and guitarist Emil Kopřiva (further member of "Synkopy"). Exceptional sound influenced by Talking Head, U.K., King Crimson was on the time of gray music scene like an apparition. Dragoun's expressive voice, Morávek's guitar style gave to band an phenomenal sound. Morávek played his very first guitar synth on Czech republic (at the same time with Radim Hladík). Seidl has begun an engine of band and during couple of years made up remarkable respect between other Czech drummers. Quadraphonic sound, big players' flexibility during concerts was something unique. Poetrist Soňa Smetanová wrote often spiritual oriented lyrics. During this period first album called "Ostrov země" (Island Earth) was recorded. Year 1985: bass player Luboš Eremiáš joined, for not very clear circumstances Miloš Morávek left a band. A saxophonist Leopold Dvořáček met a band for short time. Style has changed more to mainstream hard rock, represented on second album "Jedinečná šance" (A Singular Chance) recorded on July 1986 at Bratislava city. Lyrics was written together with Soňa, poetrist Milan Princ and Dragoun's father. Year 1988: bass player was changed to Pavel Pelc (further member of Progress II). Although there was lot of material for third album, it has not been recorded. When Dragoun and Seidl left, band played like a support for Michal Pavlíček concerts until 1989 when stopped all main activities. Read more on Last.fm.
