Guy Mearns has been producing since he was 16, but has only recently devoted time to his love of trance, previously being too occupied with his "Guyver" brand too really push himself properly into the trance scene. Well, that time came in late 2007, when Guy started dabbling with the floatier and more uplifting sounds, but with the tech edge, with his first remix, which was of Lee Haslam's Carpe Diem , which followed onto a remix of O.M.D. again by Mr Haslam, both recieving great reviews and supported by many djs! Come Summer 08 and Guy was ready to release his EP on Digital Remedy Recordings and the outcome was a 4 track eclectic showcase of Guy's talents, creating a track for almost everyone, Guy was delighted with the reviews and appreciation of his debut single, but he knew he could still go further, he wasn't done fine tuning his trance sound.... Come the end of 08 , after being side tracked again, Guy came back to the trance, with more and more determination to get where he wanted to be productionaly. He found the perfect way to refresh his enthusiam, he entered the Bonzai remix competition for Push - Universal Nation , and while he did not win, he was one of the top entries that got a full release, so all in all a good job done! 2009 has seen the release of Haslam & Mearns - Crunch, which has received massive support, and Guy Mearns - Don't Hold Back/Break Away, both on Slinky Digital , Guy is finally getting where he wants to be with his trance sound. His new tracks "Sunbeam & Gravity" have just been snapped up by Slinky again, and with these tracks you can tell Guy has been working hard on perfecting his sound, and creating some massive summer anthems. With support from djs such as: Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Sander Van Doorn, Judge Jules, Dave Pearce, Armin Van Buuren, Agnelli & Nelson, Lee Haslam, Mark Sherry, plus many more...........Guy looks set to be one the the up coming producers to really make a dent in the scene in the next few years.
