London-based Gwen Knighton is a master of the wirestrung harp, or clairseach, the ancient harp of Ireland and the Scottish highlands. Gwen plays both modern and historical iterations of this fascinating instrument, and she is available for performances, lectures, lessons and classes both on the wirestrung harp and other topics of interest. Gwen was one of the founding members of the Three Weird Sisters. When she married and moved to England, rather than leave the group, she became a Sister Emeritus. Through the wonders of technology, Gwen continues to collaborate with the other Sisters in addition to her solo work. http://www.gwenknighton.com/ Read more on Last.fm.
