In 2001 Swedish singer/songwriter Lars Winnerbäck hand-picked a team of musicians to record his 4th album "Singel" with. 7 of these followed him out on tour, and one day Lars thought that his companions should call themselves something, and so the name "Hovet" (meaning "The Royal Court" in swedish) was founded. The band consists of the following: Idde Schultz - Guitars and vocals Anna Stadling - Guitars and vocals Norpan Eriksson - Drums and vocals Jens "Jensa" Back - Keyboards and vocals Josef Zachrisson - Bass and vocals Staffan Andersson - Guitars and vocals Johan Persson - Guitars and vocals In 2003 they appeared for the first time in the recordstores when Lars Winnerbäck & Hovet recorded the album "Söndermarken" (named after a park somewhere near Copenhagen). In 2004 Lars wanted to make a album entirely on his own (named "Vatten under broarna" meaning "Water under the bridges") and Hovet decided to make one themselves. Under a few magical weeks in the summer of 2004 the album "Hovet" was written and recorded on the isle of Gotland in the middle of the Baltic Sea. In the very same year guitarist Johan Persson also recorded an album with his band Peggy Lejonhjärta and toured across Sweden. In 2005 Lars Winnerbäck & Hovet teamed up again to record the EP "Stort liv" ("Great life") with a following Swedish Summer Tour. Read more on Last.fm.
