Jive Mother Mary formed in 2006 in Alamance County NC (Burlington area) and unlike your typical young teens comparing musical interests, they found their tastes came from the mastery of rock and blues legends decades before them like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling stones, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd and others. It was determined from day 1 that their sound was going to be nurtured by lessons well honed from the past yet still have the fresh special songwriting and fat sound for today’s world. Unlike most bands their age, JMM has been playing professionally for over 2 year and has clocked in over 150 shows in several states. The experience of performing live, dialing in their audience and writing great songs has all contributed to the forthcoming of their debut album All Fall Down which was released on August 15th of this year. All Fall Down was recorded and produced in Raleigh by John Custer (Cry Of Love, COC, Dag) who first met and recorded the band’s first self titled EP at the end of 2007. A great relationship spawned and continued to grow with a eckECK which clearly defines the band in a big time way. Read more on Last.fm.
