There are 2 bands with the name Kind of Blue 1. Kind of Blue is a band from Hamburg/Germany, formed by Polish vocalist Lidia Kopania, songwriter and guitarist Bernd Klimpel and drummer Frank Spinngieß. Their style is a very melodic pop-rock based on guitars and strong female vocals, the songs vary between powerful uptempo rock songs and more contemplative, melancholy tracks. In their current lineup, Kind of Blue released their second album "Beating The Morning Rush" in 2004. Their debut album "In Sight" was released in 2000 with a different lineup, singer was Katrin Holst, fourth member of the band was bassist Lars Köster. Also in 2000, the band took part in the German selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with their first single "Bitter Blue", and had a surprising success by ending up in third place behind the later finalist Stefan Raab and jazz/pop singer Corinna May. The second single "The Same" (also the last one with the original lineup) became Kind of Blue's first radio hit in late 2000 and is probably still their most popular song. 2. Kind of Blue is a now-defunct band from North Carolina formed by lead vocalist Alison Perkins and guitarist Daniel Klein. Several songs from the band's 1999 release "Sketches of the Soul" were featured on the WB show, "Dawson's Creek." Read more on Last.fm.
