Last Lights formed in Worcester, Massachusetts in the summer of 2007. Led by the late Dominic Mallary, the original lineup consisted of Jesse Menard (Guitar), Rich Davis (Bass), and Jesse Conway (Drums). A demo was produced by the end of 2007, before adding Andrew Nordstrom to fill out the lineup on second guitar. Last Lights were quick to form a buzz, noted mostly from the intense live show and the no-frills attitude of the band. Up and coming independent label Mightier Than Sword released the self-titled 7" debut in August 2008, merely a year since the band had formed. Patrick Murphy replaced Jesse Conway on drums, and the band recorded three songs for a split with Bad Habit that was released on Neutral Territory Records. This would be the final recording with frontman Dominic Mallary. Dom tragically and abruptly passed away on December 5th, 2008 due to complications with his performance the previous day in Boston. Dominic was the primary songwriter and lyricist of Last Lights and his passing has been widely felt throughout the punk/hardcore scene. Nearly a thousand faces were present at his memorial services, including a performance by Andrew WK (at special request of Dominic). Dominic's life and music represented his devotion to Last Lights and the underground culture. Think Fast! Records and Last Lights had finalized the band's signing in the days prior to Dominic's passing, so it is with great honor that TF! and the surviving members of Last Lights team up to release a discography of the band's music and art. "No Past. No Present. No Future." is scheduled for an April 28th release. The complete discography includes an instrumental track recorded in January 2009, exclusive to the release.
