Lifeguards is an indie rock duo consisting of Robert Pollard (vocals) and Doug Gillard (instruments), both former members of Guided by Voices. The band has released two albums, "Mist King Urth" (2003) and "Waving at the Astronauts" (2011). 2. Lifeguards was a band name used for a 1959 ABC-Paramount 45 single "Everybody Out'ta The Pool".
