LOS ASES DE LA TIMBA Aquí Están Los Ases The high-octane, powerful rhythmic force of timba is elevated to its ultimate heights in the hands of this all-star cast, which showcases the talents of four of timba's top caliber exponents. Bassist Pedro Pablo (of Charanga Habanera and Charanga Forever fame) is the leader of Pedro Pablo y La Rebambaramba and heads the musical direction of this production, featuring the vocal talents of Michel Maza (also of Charanga Habanera and Charanga Forever fame), one of the top solo artists in Cuba; Armando Cantero, currently lead vocalist of the popular band Pupy y Los Que Son Son; and Tirso Duarte, the youngest in the crew yet the most experienced of all the vocalists, having performed with the likes of Pachito Alonso y sus Kini Kini, NG La Banda, Charanga Habanera, Pupy y Los Que Son Son, and the Afro-Cuban All-Stars. Fueling the band are the phat brass sounds of Frank Padrón and Jesús Angel Chapottín (trumpets) and Cecilio Valido (sax), backed by Karina Gutierrez (piano) and percussionists Jorge "LP" Torres, Yerisloy Serrano, and Carlos Amores.
