2005-2010 Chicago based "Low of the Low" isn't interested in being just any average, ordinary American rock band like most out today - that's obvious at first listen. Their gritty, groove driven guitar work and attitude scream through the speakers as you listen to any of the band's songs. Hailing from the infamous South Side of Chicago, comes five guys proud to represent the tough, blue collar streets of Chicago and all that they represent. Taking a stand for the common man, telling it like it is - like it or not - this is what the music of "Low of the Low" is all about. This isn't just music they make; it's a way of life! United in 2005 with the sole purpose of putting a new face on a tired American rock scene, it's quite easy to hear that this band is driven to bash out their own untypical brand of 'take it or take it' rock n' roll. Focusing more on music and substance, accompanied by rock solid grooves, the band doesn't fall back on the typical flash and emo sob stories that are commonplace in the over processed music of today. With their powerful songs and live performances, "Low of the Low" has developed a rabid following in Chicago and the Midwest, sharing the stage with such big name bands as Clutch and Down. In 2008, the band saw the departure of long time friend and lead guitarist Pete Morelli, who left for personal reasons. With the departure of Pete, the band decided to shift the line up a bit to feature the guitar playing of the main songwriter; moving Pat Sullivan (former bass player) to lead guitar, and welcoming new bassist Gabe Lipari. Gabe is an experienced player having jammed with such groups as The Dillingers, Smokedown, Disypher, and Better than Jesus. The rest of the band is filled out by Mark Crowley on vocals, Paul Jagmanis on rhythm guitar, and Frank Schuch on drums. With the new powerful lineup, 2009 is shaping up to be the best year yet for "Low of the Low." So, crack open a cold one, fire it up, and keep your eye's peeled in the year 2009 for "Low of the Low" - then again, it's awfully hard not to hear them coming!
