Machina’s razor sharp riffs, adrenalin-pumping action with a clean and powerful sound, formed in 2004 by Rob Cisneros (vocals, guitars, bass). Hitting the local music scene hard, they have played every venue possible to spread their original sound and intense live performances. Machina gained a loyal following of fans and built a name and reputation for themselves which has stood strong over the years, even now. In 2006, Bryan Benitez (guitars) joined Rob and shared the same musical mentality which made him a perfect fit for Machina. Voted to be one of the “Top Ten Bands in Houston”, Machina has shared the stage with bands such as American Head Charge, God Head, Ankla, Powerman 5000, Soulfly, and that’s just to name a few. In addition to these accomplishments, Machina has also received radio time as “Featured Artist” both in their hometown and all over the country. In an effort to spread their roots, Machina’s mission is to play cities, states and countries, one venue at a time, heavily promoting a sound and philosophy truly unique to their own. Part of what drives Machina is family. Family is, beyond any doubt, the backbone in which the band thrives on. Coming from well-rounded families with hardworking ethics and soulful values instilled integrity, humility, and most importantly, passion into all of their work. This being said, when close friend Emily Cox (who also helped with visual concepts on albums and videos) passed away due to a tragic car accident, she had forever marked her place with Machina. Her memory will live on through the music and art she left behind for Rob and Bryan. Though tragic, unfair, and painful, the loss ignited a new passion and purpose. The story continues beyond this point as the work of Machina never dies. Only the fans keep the group alive and only faith and family keeps them strong for the many years to come… Read more on Last.fm.
