"Mad Bliss" is a well known name for those who follow the evolving Alt. Rock scene in Israel. The band started in 1994 as "Bliss", changed its style and line up several of times, and released their first official EP in 2002 - Karen's Molested Apple. The EP received high praise from Israeli music critics and the song "Matti," rose to third place on the 2002 Alternative Music chart of Israel's top rated radio station, "Galgaltz". Matti placed ahead of other notable releases such as Beck's "Lonesome Tear" and Nirvana's "You Know You're Right". Their performance was chosen as one of the best live shows in the country (according to the regional "Ha-Ir" Tel-Aviv newspaper). On March 07, after three years of hard work and patience, Mad Bliss released their long awaited "Heaven through old eyes" LP. Two successful Radio singles have recently been released: "Vast Plains" and "Changes"; both received an extraordinary amount of radio airtime and mainstream media attention. Mad Bliss' music sounds like a mixture of their endless sources of influences, which have accumulated during their 13 years of existence. Indeed, their sound is eclectic and colorful, but still, the band has its own sound and style fingerprint. Among their list of influential bands and artists, one can find the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Blind melon, Peter Murphy, Cranes, Portishead and other 70's Folk/Rock and psychedelic bands. The new album "Heaven through old eyes" and "Karen's molested apple" EP are distributed worldwide by Earsay Records, Israel, and available on Amazon and The Orchard.com "There is something magnetizing and passionate about Mad Bliss" Maelstrom Magazine "Lead singer Tomer Raivit offers a gutsy wail comparable to Chris Cornell over the burning guitar licks" Indie-Music.com "Immediately recognizable is the same raw emotion, muted intensity and sense of something more, that flavored early Pink Floyd."
