This club habit soon turned in to an addiction of buying 12 inch records which is now an extensive vinyl library. Since then Murat has come a long way in establishing his career as a serious player on the underground music scene globally, with regular appearances at some of the world’s top clubs and production skills that are being sought after from many forward thinking record labels. As a DJ, Murat is steadfast with over 10 years experience always armed with fresh music. He has been avidly collecting vinyl since his early teens, but is no stranger to technology performing with Traktor, midi controllers and CDJs as required. His sets are creative and unique, smoothly genre crossing between deep house, techno and disco. In the last few years, Murat has had played in some of the noteworthy clubs around the world including Watergate Berlin, Electric Pickle Miami, the End London and further afield at Burning Man in the USA and Sunrise in Salvador, Brazil. With valuable deck time through his 5 year residency at Sydney institution SPICE, his sets cater for the chin strokers and frivolous partygoers alike. Since 2008, Murat Kilic has had a steady schedule of music being released on a variety of labels across the Tech House, Deep House and Techno genres. Starting with a succession of remixes on Tech House imprint BEEF Records in 2008, Murat followed these up with an EP for Oliver Koletzki’s Berlin based Stil Vor Talent which helped establish his reputation as someone to watch. Since then Murat has had a follow up release on Stil Vor Talent and a string of remixes racking up plays from the likes of Joris Voorn, Inland Knights and MANDY. Murat’s remixes are also defined and noteworthy with releases labels like Stil Vor Talent, BEEF records, Stereo Seven, Lost My Dog, Kaato, Subsonic, Long Distance and Tribal Vision. Murat's most recent remix for Lost My Dog Records went as high #46 on the Beatport Deep House charts. Murat now spends a lot of his time travelling across countires playing and listening to electronic music in many clubs and festivals around the globe. He also maintains a healthy work schedule in his home city Sydney, where he runs the successful Reckless Republic - touring agency, event promoter and record label. RELEASES • Murat's RMX of Dee & Deaf by Michelle Owen was released on Lost My Dog records in July 2010 and went as high #22 on the Beatport Deep House charts. • Murat's RMX of Serpent by Solead was released on BEEF records in early September 2008. The EP reached #7 on the Minimal/Tech House charts. • Oliver Koletzki's Stil Vor Talent of Berlin, Germany to release 3 track EP in February 2009. • Stereo Seven Records of Milan, Italy to release Murat's track Bitchstop in February 2009. • Kaato Music of Germany will release Murat's Remix of "In The Club" by Daniel Kasprowicz & Morgenklang in February 2009 • Murat's Remix of Euphonious by Zade made the BEEF Records Prime Cuts Vol2 Compilation released in November 2008 Read more on Last.fm.
