Murder on the Dancefloor was an American deathcore band from San Diego, California. With influences drawn from bands such as Suicide Silence, The Acacia Strain, Remembering Never, Between the Buried and Me and The Faceless, their music hits hard with an arsenal of heavy breakdowns, fast Deathmetal and unique hardcore styling. They have created a name for themselves throughout the country and many parts of the world, a music video was made by students. Australia for their song 'Brain Matter Splatter' including live shots. Max Moya, 20, plays guitar and uses a Peavy 6505 head with a Carvin Cab and Ibenez guitars. Austin Chiarello, 17, plays guitar and uses a Carvin V3 with a Carvin Cab and Shecter guitars. Leif Stienmetz, 19, plays bass and uses carvin 1000 head with a carvin 4 by 12 and a single 15. Charles Moya, 18, Plays drums and uses the Pearl ELX kit with zildjan cymbals. Kurt Shaffer, 22, Does vocals and lyrics. Murder on the Dancefloor originated with Kurt, Max and Leif although a few drummers came and went untill Charles joined and they began to solidify, with the addition of Austin Chiarello, Murder on the Dancefloor is now a wreaking ball of potential unable to be stopped. http://www.myspace.com/motdfhc Read more on Last.fm.
