My Enemy took form in Gothenburg in 2004. The idea for the band was as clear as the future was open; dig through Helenas archive of songs, pick the best ones and filter them through mind, soul, and favorite parts of pophistory. A laptop with Groove Agent made sure they didn´t need a drummer, and so the story goes - kids in the candystore-style. Viva the musical software-revolution! My Enemy´s joy in getting the most out of every word and melody is unmistakenly heard in their songs, and maybe that´s a reason as good as any, to why My Enemy is that kind of band that people sometimes happen to call their favorite. As Alistair Fitchett of Tangents puts it; My Enemy is a name to write in hearts on pencilcases. The guilty parties are Samira, Helena and Leonel, with live-reinforcement through dear friends like Hanna, Åsa, Anna and Marja. The band is now working on their debut album, to be released late 2006. My enemy's debute-EP "Elil" was released in mars 2005 (on Vapen & Godis), followed by "Roo" EP in september 2005 (on Yellow Mica Recordings) and the cds "Khreis" in october 2005 (on Vapen & Godis).
