1) NvS is Nirvana Savoury, former member of Canadian girl group X-Quisite. 2) NVS is hip-hop group from Slovakia 3) Straight from the heart of Silicon Valley, NVS started in March of 1999 as a two-piece project. The band has now come full circle, consisting of a talented and entertaining young group of music lovers and musicians who blend their various influences together to create a sound that pushes the boundaries of typical genre classification and words that strive to help you think, feel, and question rather than simply smile, nod, and disengage. Their live sound is a lude liaison between punk, alternative, metal, pop, noise, and rock n' roll intertwined with heavy doses of confetti, sweat, and guitaristurbation. Disgusted with bands who simply run through the motions with the same stale routine while simultaneously disrespecting their audience, NVS tries to do their part to make every show a unique experience that even their harshest critics wouldn't forget. Rather than completely embrace any one kind of musical or performance genre, they challenge themselves on a regular basis to create something that doesn't strive to be "different" (yet sounding exactly the same), channeling their respective influences and playing their hearts out for anyone and everyone that takes the time to listen. NVS released Silicon Valley Modern Suicide in 2005 and are in the process of finishing their new album, Music To Shop To, which is due out in 2007. They've been most fortunate to share the live floor with wonderful bands like Stunt Monkey, Butt Trumpet, Monkey, Fabulous Disaster, Nightfist, and F.T.B. and look forward to doing whatever they can to make your Bay Area music scene a little more candid, conscious, and uncomfortable.
