Nedyalko Nedyalkov was born in 1970 in Haskovo, Bulgaria in a family with a long musical tradition. It was in his early years that his interest in music was awakened and he ventured his first steps at playing a musical instrument – he started with the accordion. At the age of seven he entered the Children’s Music School in his native town of Haskovo. Later on, he switched to playing the kaval and applied for the famous Folk Music School in the city of Shiroka Laka. During the years of training at that school he developed passionately his skills and technique in his instrument of choice. He was considered to be one of the big hopes for the Bulgarian Folk Music scene. In 1989 he graduated with high honors from the Music School. That same year he was accepted to the Plovdiv Musical Academy. At the Academy Nedyalko was seen as an excellent performer and was invited to be the soloist of the Representative Folk Orchestra of the Academy. In addition, he participated in many other and diverse music formations. In 1996 Nedyalko joined the famous Folk Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio as a Soloist where he plays to this day. Not only he has participated in many concerts and recording sessions all over Bulgaria but he also participated in numerous tours all over Europe,USA,U.K.,Finalnd,Norway,Denmark and Japan together with the female folk choir “The Angels”. In 1999 he performed at concerts all over Norway with a joined Bulgarian Norwegian Folk Music Formation. Together they recorded an album called “Farmer’s Market”with Stian Carstensen. In the period 2001 – 2003 Nedyalko performed all over the USA with the “Maistori” band. That tour ended with the recording of an album called “Grupa Maistori”. In 2002 he was invited by the Francophone Organization to record a CD by the name of “Musiques Francophones”. With this music formation and the repertoire from the CD he performed in Lebanon. He also participated in many projects for film and theater music with world famous musicians like Milcho Leviev, Anthony Donchev, Stoyan Yankulov, etc. In 1999 Nedyalko recorded a CD together with the musicians from the world famous “River Dance” show and some other famous Bulgarian musicians like Georgi Petrov, Angel Dimitrov, and Peyo Peev among others. In 1998 on the USA market an album came out by the name of “Thracian Rhapsody” which he recorded together with Ivo Papazov, Yilduz Ibrahimova, Hristo Iotsov,2003 project''Hichiria'' with Dimitar Petrov,2005-''Hone and Blood''with Nenad Vasilc Balkan Band(Austria),2006-''Thracian Dance'' with Vladimir Karparov(Germany),2006-''Ikadem''ethno-jazz project,2007-Lubo Alexandrov ''KabaHoro''-(Canada),2007-2008 with Farser Fifield Band (Scotland)''Trace of Thrace'' etc. Often, he gets invited as a guest performer for recording sessions of many Bulgarian music stars like:Lili Ivanova, Diana Dafova,Mariana Popova,Petar Ralchev,''Ku-Ku Band''and Slavi Trifonov, Kostadin Gougov,Slavka Kalcheva,Gloria, Ilia Lukov, etc. Nedyalko holds the 1986, 1988, and 1990 First Prize Awards from the National Competition for Young Performers held in Pleven.
