Oceanics are a Gold Coast indie rock/pop quartet consisting of: Elliot (guitar/vocals), Jackson (guitar/vocals), Andy (drums) and Matt (bass). According to their MySpace, they have formed in 2005, though managed to break through into the Australian alternative music scene in January 2010. Recently (first quarter of 2011) they have released their first EP titled "Get Friendly Mistress Maybe" which was supervised by Govinda Doyle (previously worked with Angus & Julia Stone, The Fumes). Upon the release of their EP, they have embarked on playing shows on the Australian East Coast, mainly between Brisbane and Sydney at the moment. Their sound has been described as Jeff Buckley joining The Kooks. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
