Oh, Atoms

Oh, Atoms is an English acoustic folk-pop duo based in London. They came to be in the summer months of 2007. Formed from the ashes of The Feeling Good Conspiracy, Oh Atoms is the musical vehicle for one Gwen Atom and one Marc Atom, two multi-instrumentalists who share a musical past as varied as their music is sweet. Gwen bumped into Marc in Austin's infamous Continental Club during a night off from touring the US with Jose Gonzalez and Psapp. The pair talked... the pair drank... the pair pondered.... and Oh, Atoms was born. Armed with a chestful of songs, written together in close collaboration and taking inspiration from 1930s tea dances, victorian darkness, dead film stars, suspicious circumstances and selected confectionery, their music caught the ear of the folk at Sony/ATV who swiftly signed them to a global publishing deal in May last year.
