Axel Ehnström (born 23 October, 1990 in Kirkkonummi, Finland) better known by his stage name Paradise Oskar is a Finnish singer-songwriter. The name Paradise Oskar comes from author Astrid Lindgren's childrens book "Rasmus and the Vagabond", where Paradise Oskar is a vagabond who plays accordion. Oskar participated in the Finnish national selection; Euroviisut 2011 with the song "Da Da Dam" to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany in May 2011. Although Da Da Dam reached only 21st place, it won the Marcel Bezencon -prize for the best song in the Eurovision Song Contest, voted by the European medium representers. Oskar first participated in the second semi-final, he qualified to the final along with two other artists. In the final after the 10 artists performed there songs, Oskar along with Father McKenzie and Saara Aalto went through to the second round known as the "Super Final". Oskar was declared the winner receiving the highest number of SMS and televotes with 46.7% of the votes. Paradise Oskar's debut album Sunday Songs was released on May 4th 2011. Sunday Songs reached 28th place on its first week on the Official Finnish Album Charts, and it was later peaked at 4th position. Read more on Last.fm.
