Phil is English. His early influences include U2, Nirvana, Lemonheads, Radiohead, and Tom Waits. He uses these words to describe his music: Self-styled, empowering, and thought-provoking. His first contribution to recorded music was a solo acoustic EP called "The Atlantic Project" in 2000. Phil has been booked extensively throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States, performing to crowds in excess of 24,000 in venues such as: The Viper Room – Los Angeles, California Cavern Club - Liverpool, England Cobdin Club - London, England Cain's Ballroom - Tulsa, Oklahoma Kingston Communication Stadium – Yorkshire, England Les Cariatides - Paris, France He’s also had numerous appearances on BBC radio and considerable airtime on stations throughout the U.S. As an instance of his success, Phil has been nominated for and won music awards in both England and the US. His first full-length album,'Dondonisi...', was recorded at Abbey Road Studios (London) and yellow DOG Studios (Tulsa, OK). It was released on BoneTone Records in 2004. Its initial single, Gravity, charted at 152 on FMQB in May 2004, without major label support. His follow-up album, 'Providence?', which was also recorded at both Abbey Road and yellow DOG Studios is slated for U.S. radio release (BoneTone Records) in January of 2007. Phil is currently touring the United States, United Kingdom and Europe supporting 'Dondonisi...' and 'Providence?' and has begun production on a new full length recording. Read more on Last.fm.
