Repertoire began with a group of six best friends from a small Milwaukee high school in 2000. They won 6 different college battles of the bands, played at every major venue in the state, released an album that sold 1,000 units without a label, and were nominated for a WAMI for Best Rock Group. Unfortunately, life happened. Friends grew apart, musical differences became increasingly evident, and many members chased other dreams. Merriam-Webster defines Repertoire as “a list or supply of dramas, operas, pieces, or parts that a company or person is prepared to perform.” The band defines it as the collaboration of ideas, beliefs, and influences that unite to create a sound that can only be defined as uniquely familiar. Repertoire sound as though Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Dispatch, and Gavin Degraw’s illegitimate children came together to form a band. In 2007, after a two year hiatus, Repertoire has reunited it’s core and brought in 94.5 WKTI’s Rockstar Jaizon Plaga. With a new album to be released in September 2007 and a hungrier cast, Repertoire is “Moving On” toward rockstardom. Will they make it? Find out for yourself at www.myspace.com/repertoire.
