Room77 were found in 2005 in Rott am Lech (Bavaria/Germany) by brothers Markus and Andreas Görlitz. The story of the band begins with a serious injury of Andreas Görlitz on the evening of 3rd November 2004. Andreas, who is a professional football player for German team FC Bayern München (Munich), was injured on that evening during a Champions League game against Italian club Juventus Turin. During rehab he taught himself to play the guitar. The band's name is a reference to his old jersey with number 77, which he wore while playing for German club Karlsruher SC. Their first album "at home" has been released on 23rd November 2009 via Room77 Records. The first single is called "Hope". A music video for the single has been released on 22nd December 2009. The video features famous German football players Mario Gómez, Miroslav Klose and Philipp Lahm, who (as of 2010) are all part of Germany's national football team. The band consists of Markus Görlitz (vocals), Andreas Görlitz (guitar, vocals), Temren Demirbolat (guitar), Manuel Riesemann (bass) and Michael Kratzl (drums). Their musical influences are Foo Fighters, Green Day, Coldplay und U2. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
