Rose Red Flechette is the solo project of Connor Murray out of Atlanta GA. From its inception as a powernoise project it has evolved to include darkpsy, drum & bass, hardcore, and even technical metal influences. Incorporating industrial, cyberpunk, transhuman, and psychedelic themes in a sound that includes danceable rhythms interspersed with polyrhythmic breakdowns, clanging snares, over-processed and distorted percussion, disorienting, squelchy synths, pounding beats and airy ambiances, Rose Red Flechette seeks to encourage the listener to question the idea of an enlightened technological future given humanity's bloody history of greed, hatred, and hubris. The human intellect is our survival mechanism yet it is also what desynchronizes us with the rest of the natural world. As we appropriate technology to do more than just work, but to be intrinsically demonstrative of human traits, we will stop being human, and we will likely be at this point before we even know what that means. The Syzygy debut EP was released on Anomalistic Records in April 2013. Disenlightenment followed in November that same year, the first full-length album, succeeded by The Aquarian Syndrome in April 2014. Read more on Last.fm.
