Seelenblut was formed in 1998 by Andreas D. Barekas. The first completed musical attempt of Seelenblut, "Angel’s Suicide", was released in 2000 by the Greek industrial/dark ambient label CAPP. It was heavily influenced by projects such as raison d'être, Brighter Death Now, Archon Satani and the general CMI dark ambient/experimental noise scene. The second album, "Phosphorus", was released in 2001 also by CAPP. Both “Angel’s Suicide” and “Phosphorus” received very good reviews in scene magazines, such as Side Line and The Black. In 2003 Andreas participated in various local projects such as Lisa Toulouse (side-project with members of Decadence). In 2004 he recorded a full album with Schadenfreunde, and participated with a track in two OEC collective releases (“The Appeal of Discarded Orthodoxy: Tribute to David E. Williams” and “VA - OEC 100”), and collaborated with Val Denham in the track “Nosferatu”, in Denham’s album “Halved Man”. Signifying the increasingly apparent occult and personal influences in its creator, the project eventually took a different musical direction towards neoclassical and funereal gothic atmospheres. "Chastity & Dementia" was released on Midnight Records in 2010. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Seelenblut/139631509443621 http://www.myspace.com/andreasseelenblut Read more on Last.fm.
