New album out now, on 12"vinyl and iTunes! (and many other web shops) Four friends that share a passion for fast, melodic punk rock made by bands like Bad Religion, NOFX and Lag Wagon. And though you probably can hear the influence of some of those bands, Sellfish has managed to develop its own unique style. The band writes fast, pushy songs with catchy vocals accompanied by meaningful lyrics. Sellfish has been around for over sixteen years now. During this time they’ve played in almost every Dutch venue there is. As a head-liner, or as a support act for bands like No Use for a Name, Less than Jake, Pulley and Satanic Surfers. Sellfish also toured Belgium and Germany. Though Sellfish once had a record deal with Dutch Record, an alternative little sister label of Columbia Records, the band has always managed to stay independent. And like true punk rockers they really believe in DIY. The foursome released a lot of demo’s, singles, a full-length album and is now re-releasing some of their favourite tracks on the ‘Major League Punkrock’ album. Soon available in web stores as mp3 and (talking about punk rock) 12”vinyl. But who really wants to experience Sellfish has to come to one of their live shows. In reviews the band is often praised for its energy, tight performance and charisma. Sixteen years of experience really pay off!
