"In addition to wielding considerable musical talent, these gentlemen use their art to lend expression to the intuitive emotional aspect of personal evolution and the unveiling of profound spiritual truth." Signals To Vega is an instrumental rock band from Lake Charles, Louisiana. Excited to create and share personal perspectives through the universal art of music, Signals To Vega began as all bands do, with an idea. Striving to blur the lines between the aggressiveness of modern metal and the emotional landscapes of ambient, prog rock, and post-rock, Signals To Vega work diligently to tread new ground to discover the boundaries of the human imagination in a time where modern music may seem stagnant. Initially forming under the moniker Some Are Gods, whom was composed of Joe Perry, Ricky Fontenot, and David McMichael, they later changed their name to Signals To Vega in March 2011. Signals To Vega quickly evolved and embraced new ideas of the directions the music would take. After teaming up with a close friend Derek Rhile as the third guitarist, they began writing material which later would become "Into The Arms Of Infinity". During the summer of 2011, circumstances demanded the band retreat into a temporary hiatus, waving farewell to third guitar Derek Rhile. Later that year, the band resumed writing of the album. Quickly being discouraged at the loss of what became an integral part of their sound, they searched for new blood. After welcoming friends NJ Benoit and Zac Lyons to the band, a chemistry formed between the band that almost seemed as if the music wrote itself. During the summer of 2012, word quickly spread throughout Louisiana and Texas of the emotions the 5-piece instrumental band evoked in a live setting. After successfully launching a funding campaign to record the album in the fall, Signals To Vega entered the studio with Matthew Moss at EMF Productions to begin production of the album "Into The Arms Of Infinity". Beginning December 2012, Swedish mixing/mastering engineer Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, August Burns Red, pg.lost) took the reigns and began efforts to mix & master the debut album. "Into The Arms Of Infinity" is set for a Spring 2013 release to herald a new chapter for Signals To Vega. www.facebook.com/signalstovega www.signalstovega.bandcamp.com Read more on Last.fm.
