Silent Love of Death

Band from Spain formed by the brothers Juan Carlos Toledo and Miguel Ángel Toledo. They settled down in the south part of their country. They began to make music around the year 1996 with another musical project called “Lament” publishing the following demos: Lament (1996), Grey Age (1996) , Resting in a place like this (1998). “Lament” moved between gothic rock and dark pop with different influences. Their musical maturity causes that in the year 2000 a change of musical registry was made. Silent Love Of Death was born. So at the end of the year 2003 SLOD finish “The Poet's Senses”, their first album (Palace Of Worms 2005). It's a calling to the rebel spirit of the romantic writers of the centuries XVIII & XIX. Blake, Baudelaire, Espronceda or Bécquer contribute with their artistic essence covered by the cold solemnity and the decay of the band . Some time ago SLOD colaborated in the compilation of spanish bands “My Dear Freaks” (Caustic Records, 2004), a colletion of musical jewels of the spanish dark scene.
