Long Description: Simple Southern Boys originated in Central Florida in 2004. They are a band that is not really country, and it's not really southern rock, it's just an ass kicking, in your face, new kind of music we like to call swamp rock, like nothing you've ever heard. Simple Southern Boys is a band who prides themselves in making records that sound live, trying to keep all the integrity of a live band. No vocal tuning, no studio tricks or short cuts were taken to make this music. Everything that is played and sung is done live, no over dubs. Simple Southern Boys: the FIRST Swamp Rock Band! This is fun rocking, party, good time music everyone can get into. Biography DERYLE HUGHES - SINGER, GUITAR, BLUES HARP, PRODUCER & CO-WRITER Deryle Hughes was raised in Central Florida and at the tender age of 16 was inspired by Edgar & Johnny Winter to become a world class singer. He taught himself how to play guitar, slide guitar and blues harp and began writing and developing songs in the mid 1990's. Deryle has been singing and touring in the Southeast United States for most of his career. Over the years, the bands that he has played in are: Sons of Doctors, Big Shot & Simple Southern Boys. Throughout his career as a musician he has opened for recording artists: Foreigner, Journey, Eddie Money, Foghat, Van Halen, Sammy Hagger and too many others to mention. Deryle has also produced his own music for many years as well as the music of other artists. After putting out several cd's, Deryle decided to focus his efforts on writing "All Revved Up", a cd which was released in 2009 and has gone platinum plus in every country but the United States. Most recently, he has refocused his efforts on creating new music, for the new cd "Highway Never Ends".
