Sutrastore is a Belgium trip-hop / electropop band, formed in 2000 by Kaat Arnaert (vocals), Patrick Cherchye (vocals, guitar) and Christophe Calis (vocals, guitar, samples, synth's, programming). Jan Delannoy (synth's) and Jan Dirick (drums, percussion), joined the band later. A full album titled Open Doorway was released on August 31 2012. Sutrastore's trip-hop is soft and pleasant, sometimes nostalgic and depressive, with a wealthy instrumentation (taking advantage of acoustic and electronic elements) and magnificent vocals. Even not having released their debut yet, they are already popular among trip-hoppers, what is easy to understand: where there's talent, there's quality; and Sutrastore is a rare gem.
