Teddy Rok Seven

Teddy Rok Seven is Teppo Mäkynen and another group of six others (hence the making of a seven), Teppo is responsible for the sticks and skins for Nuspirit Helsinki & The Five Corners Quintet and is he outright leader of the band. Live wise, you can expect Timo Lassy & Mikko Innanen on the saxophones, Jukka Eskola on trumpet, Ville Riippa on keyboards, Timo Hirvonen on bass and Abdissa Assefa on percussion. The brotherhood of jazz and soul is very strong in Helsinki, and like other Jupiter releases, they enjoy the individual quantities of friendship and music and helping each other. Universal Four is spiritual and deep, yet it is still very accessible and easy to absorb. Never does it become the long difficult musical walks other very talented players tend to fall into. It gives plenty of refreshment and avoids the weariness sometimes associated with jazz that is concerned with affecting the spirit and soul. Dosages of Nujazz Afro and Hip Hop help the cosmic journey here.
