The heavily New Wave influenced British rock group The God Damn Whores is the brainchild of 'Random' Jon Poole, former guitarist with Cardiacs and Ad Nauseum. In recent years he has worked closely with The Wildhearts' frontman Ginger, having played bass for The Wildhearts, Silver Ginger 5 and Ginger's current backing band, the Sonic Circus. Ginger returned the favour by playing bass in the God Damn Whores first touring lineup (a role which has since been taken up by Chris Catalyst aka Robochrist) and releasing their debut album We Are The Lucky Thirteen on his Round Records label. The God Damn Whores debut CD was written, produced, performed, arranged and recorded all by Jon Poole as a one man project (source - cd sleeve notes). Read more on Last.fm.
